A beautiful walk with no difficulties and a breathtaking view from the village of Mireval over Lac de Montbel. The hamlet of Mireval: the name of this hamlet comes from the Occitan mira-valh meaning "look down on the valley".

Peyrat", whose name refers to a place where Gallo-Roman roads passed, has suffered destruction on several occasions in its history. But what has left its mark the most is undoubtedly the disorder caused by religious quarrels. In 1539, for example, Germain de Lévis-Léran, lord of Léran, was dispossessed of his property by the Parliament of Toulouse following his adherence to Calvinism. Until the mid-19th century, Le Peyrat was an industrial center specializing in the manufacture of horn combs and leather goods.
